Continuing my random-idea-into-website theme, I’ve started ¡LOLBEARZ!1!!, which is pretty much exactly like the cats, but with bears (who I think are cuter and more fun). Enjoy!

I tweet a lot about user experiences I love and hate, and figured it might be fun to start collecting them. Thanks to the magic of the internets, I made a site to do just that: www.epicuserexperience.com
Major update to this site! The old design was looking dated, and the techincal decisions I had made weren’t supporting what I wanted to accomplish, so I’ve implemented a new look (try out the different styling options up at the top of the page) and started using some nifty APIs (Flickr, Twitter, Tumblr) to automate things.
I’m adding a (big) new skill to my toolkit: WPF. I’ve got a stack of books on C#, WPF, and Blend and am diving right in, putting together Resource Dictionaries and protyping visuals, interaction and animation for the System Center framework UX. Exciting stuff! To my total shock, I absolutely adore Expression Blend, and can really see using it a lot in the future for design and prototyping.
I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined the Management and Administration Experience (MAX) group at Microsoft. To begin, I’ll be working on the next version of System Center Essentials. It seems I just can’t get away from working for/with IT pros!
